Hillcroft is a national educational charity for women. Since its foundation in 1920 it has constantly evolved to respond to the educational needs of women.
The National Residential College for Women, (which the Charity started at this time), remains the first and, still the only, College of its type in the UK even today. Based on the outskirts of London, it has remained a centre for many women to stay and study successfully. In a vibrant and dynamic environment, we are able to cater for a wide range of women, many of whom may not have had previous opportunities to develop their potential as much as they would have wished. Hillcroft is, however, more than a college. As well as individual students, organisations and businesses can also tap into Hillcroft’s experience to provide focused and value for money development enhancing the skills and motivation of their staff and the capacity development for their organisation. Here we have a particular expertise of working with organisations that use significant numbers of women volunteers.
Finally, by continually building on its long history of expertise in women’s education, Hillcroft provides a platform for robust debate on issues relevant to our changing society.
