Joining the party will be:
Jan Meek who in 1997 rowed 3000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean in 101 days with son Dan, achieving her first Guinness World Record. In 2007 they raced 650 kilometres to the Magnetic North Pole, achieving a second Guinness World Record. More people have been in space than have rowed an ocean or walked to one of the Earth’s Poles. More people have walked on the moon than have done both.
Dinah Bennett founder of the award winning ‘Women Into the Network’ (WIN) and currently Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning at Durham University, Dinah Bennett is an expert in women’s business development and female entrepreneurship. She has received many awards including, most recently, the Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion and the Confederation of British Industry First Woman Corporate Award.
Barbara Hosking CBE Former Hillcroft student has had a long, varied and interesting career. She is a former civil servant - writing speeches for 10 Downing Street Prime Ministers Harold Wilson and Edward Heath. She is also former Deputy Chair of Westcountry Television.
