The College is currently looking for a new Chair to provide strategic direction and leadership for its forward-looking and welcoming governing body.

Length of appointment: 3 years

Time commitment: 15 meetings approximately per annum

As the only women’s adult residential college in the UK, Hillcroft College is truly unique. Its principal aim is to enable women to change their lives and fulfil their potential through learning. Emphasis is placed on women gaining transferable skills which can be applied to further learning and improving employability.   

Candidates should ideally have a business or professional background with experience in adult education and be able to demonstrate good leadership skills.  We are particularly seeking candidates with experience in any of the following areas: fund raising; legal; human resources; marketing; public relations; or voluntary/public sectors.
