Mavis is back at Hillcroft where she developed
her early writing skills and inspiration to become an
Author. You will learn first hand how to get more out of
novel writing, and all the many varied aspects of invention and
shaping that goes into a book.
This 3 day residential workshop is designed for those of you
who have started writing and want to go that extra mile to
give you confidence in your abilities to write imaginatively
and to guide you towards new skills in writing creatively. It
will look at the various constituents of good fiction writing –
scene setting, character, dialogue (this is usually thought to
be the hardest thing to write and you should, by the end of
the course, realise that it is not so hard after all), the use of
metaphor and description to set mood, turning points, what
the story is about.
This not to be missed residential workshop will be fun, exciting
and above all will help you take that next step toward writing
your own novel.
