The Educational Charity for Women

Hillcroft the Educational Charity for Women has been evolving over the past 90 years, from its early years raising funds for its site at Beckenham in 1920 when it first opened its doors as the working women’s college, to its current building in Surbiton in 1925 which quickly became the first and only National Residential College for Women in the UK, helping over 600 women a year gain qualification to University, business and work that would normally have not been possible due to circumstance and lack of personal funding. The Charity remains to-day as the umbrella for Hillcroft activities.
