LSIS STEM Programme - Tuesday 12th July 2011
LSIS STEM Programme
Science, Engineering and Mathematics support for the learning and skills sector.
This meeting is for all teachers of Adult Numeracy who’d like to discuss / share / improve their practice, especially those working in small organisations. As a focus, we’ll touch upon some issues raised in recent reports by NIACE ('Numeracy Counts') and Ofsted ('Tackling the challenge of low numeracy skills in adults and young people'); we’ll do so by discussing practical teaching in the classroom and your own Maths skills. Even if you’re attending the LSN or NIACE events (see below), this event is different, run by teachers for teachers who want to talk about issues of importance to them.
