National Conference: Women Offenders: Breaking the Mould

Friday November the 20th 2009:  Hillcroft holds a National Conference in partnership with The London Probation Service, a one day conference for practitioners and sentencers, looking at how changing lives through probation intervention, education and employment can benefit the community and improve the future of women offenders through these portals.

 

June Ireton: Welcome from the Principal of Hillcroft.
Karen Page: National lead for community services for Women in NOMS.
Dr Dan Brown: UCL working with the LSC on new educational formats for delivery in Prisons and on Prisoner release.
Elizabeth Fabiano: T3 Associates, professional criminologist known internationally for her work in developing and implementing programmes for rehabilitating criminal offenders.

Cynthia Dehesa: Working with Women in Mexican Prisons.
The Women’s Centre London: Jessica Vekaria and Linda Butler tutors at the centre.
