June Ireton steps down as principal of Hillcroft after 16 years.

Governors wished June a happy and restful retirement following her 16 years of tenure, and thanked her for all the hard work and innovative leadership. June was a great innovator and brought in childcare provision to the college which helped women over come one of the fundamental barriers they face to further study.

Staff also held a farewell lunch for June in the gardens of Hillcroft, with many friends and colleagues also welcomed to wish June a happy and long retirement. The lunch was blessed with sunshine and cheer.
