Ranesa says:
"I moved around a lot when I was a child, which meant changing schools often. I lived on my own since my mid-teens, and felt that I needed to expand my horizons by doing a course that would make me feel challenged and excited. I had known about Hillcroft since I was 14 because my aunts and a friend had studied here. I chose Hillcroft because not only do they have a great Access course, but it is also a wonderful environment. My environment is as important to me as the knowledge I am gaining, and Hillcroft has a nice energy, providing not only for my intellect but for my sense of wellbeing. It is set in beautiful grounds and one can feel the history in the college building. It has a fabulous library, and the staff are both academically and personally supportive. They nurture you and help you grow. What you bring to education is just as important as what you gain from it and Hillcroft enables this two-way dialogue. I am still my essential self, but Hillcroft has brought some nice things out in me – it has helped me blossom."
