Victoria C
Background:
When Victoria left school she did not have the chance to take up further studies due to her family responsibilities. Subsequently she took any full or part job to provide a safe and secure home and future for her children. When the children left home and inspired by their achievements at university Victoria was at a loss in her life and wanted to try study for herself. She had a keen interest in law but didn’t know whether she would be accepted as a mature student with her lack of qualifications.
Victoria C says:
"The modules on the course were exciting and demanding but I wanted to do my best and drink in everything that was on offer. The surroundings and the beautiful grounds, the access to the library and IT facilities along with the 100% support from tutors and staff were the perfect ingredients needed for studying. Sometimes it felt like it was a big family, safe and secure. Living as a residential student was an experience that prepared me for life at University. My success at Hillcroft enabled me to realise my dream and gain a place studying law at University."
