An introductory series of workshops for women interested in finding out what Tai Chi is, as well as for those wishing to learn and practice some foundation exercises, postures and movements. Tai Chi is an ancient and gentle form of exercise that is suitable for people of all ages. It consists of slow movements, accompanied by natural breathing, that help to develop both physical strength and mental well being
Tai Chi helps to improve co-ordination, concentration, cardio vascular fitness and general flexibility. It is sometimes referred to as a ‘walking meditation’, and this meditative aspect of Tai Chi helps to relax the mind, lift the spirits and promote a feeling of general wellbeing.
Loose comfortable clothing and flexible shoes required. It is helpful to bring some water with you.
Singing is a great way to make friends, boost self-esteem and confidence and its fun! Designed to encourage you to find your voice, increase your confidence, work in harmony with others and develop your listening skills. You won’t be asked to sing alone, and there is no need to read music. These workshops are often described as fun, engaging, uplifting and full of enthusiasm and joy.
Gentle stretching and breathing exercises. All abilities welcome. Feel free to join in on a yoga mat or use a chair.
