Level One icon

Course Description

This is week one of an eight week series. Starting with a brief overview of what a baseplate is and does, and understanding the construction drawings, we will move swiftly into the process of making the actual baseplate for the micro-building. We will learn how to measure and mark up for cutting, how to correctly use a hand saw, an electric mitre saw and an electric jigsaw, how to wield a hammer properly to nail things together, how to mix and apply structural glue, and much more. Time permitting we will install the 'fixing posts' for the doors and windows.
