Course Description

This one week course is for mothers / carers to develop the knowledge and skills to support their children in school and with homework. The course focusses on children who are or who may be dyslexic or dyspraxic and therefore may learn differently. We will focus on building their confidence and supporting them to achieve their potential in school. On the course you will develop strategies to work with your child and to communicate with their school. You will learn about the new provision in schools for students with learning needs. If you are bringing a child between the ages of 5 and 11 years you will be able to try out ways of working with your child during a daily 'family learning' session. The children will have their own kids club and should enjoy the half term while you study.

Course runs from 29 May 2018 to 1 Jun 2018
